Our trip Downtown

Last week Cousin Tyler came to hang out with us while his mommy finished up some things at work. He helped Aunt Lesli do some shopping downtown. He was a great help to me in taking care of his cousin Emily.

Emily thought she was hot stuff!

And Tyler kept her perfectly entertained! See this video for more!

Just like Mommy or ....Daddy?

Our Emily loves to play dress up! I am not sure who she likes to look like most...

Mommy...

or Daddy!

Taylor Celebration

This weekend, we celebrated my Uncle Reggie and Aunt Sonia's 40th wedding anniversary! We had a great time getting together. They are a genuinely sweet couple and I feel so blessed to have them in our lives. I believe their marriage is a testimony to the influence we have on others. Because of their commitment to God and each other, 50 individuals were brought together to honor them and reflect on the importance of marriage. I was personally blessed by the afternoon because I was reminded of the importance of family. Not just immediate family, but extended family. They have a love for you like no one else can. They have known you from your beginnings and all of the "colorful" in betweens! An yet they still embrace and welcome you!

Here is my Aunt Aggie and Mom. They were part of the backbone of our celebration. They are nine years about and the best of friends!

Here is my Unlce J. I have always heard "Behind every good man is a good woman". While I know there is some truth to this statement, I have found from personal experience that sometimes the truth is..."behind every good woman there is a good man"! My Unlce J is always so supportive of Uncle Aggie and he is a true family man. I think he called each one of his sons while he was visiting with us, sat patiently while my Mom and Aunt Aggie discussed decorating and even endured my daughter splishing and splashing in the pool!

Unfortunately, the birds did not respect my Uncle J's kindness. Here they all are, looking up as they just discovered a white spot on Uncle J's shirt sleeve!

Papa's got his hands full!

This weekend, Papa got a taste of what it is like to have two at once!

Our Sweet Emily!

Here is Emily at Richards. She loves to eat ice!
