This past weekend we celebrated Christians 1st Birthday!

We started the day off with a trip to Chez Pierre in Tallahasse for a European Style Lunch!

Then we headed to The Brogan Museum to learn about natural energy.

We also went to Borders to get Mommy a coffee, Emily a snickerdoodle and we each got to get a book!

We headed back to Thomasville to have Baked Spaghetti, Salad & Sour Dough Bread at Gi Gi's house and then to the parade to meet Pa, Grandma, AJ & Abigail.

Christian had the best seat in the house! Or did Pa?

Emily and her Daddy had a great time watching the parade go by!

Emily got a kick out of the horses, motorcycles and the bands

Emily also enjoyed time with her cousins!

A group photo after a wonderful day!

Christian enjoyed some dancing in the streets after the parade was over. This is Mickey, a friend and brother in Christ.

Saturday Morning, we went to Gi Gi's for the official party. We were suppose to arrive in time to watch the race run by...but we were a little late and brought in the rear!

(but we all had showers and were at Moms by 8:50 am on a Saturday!)

I know this shot below is blurry but I had to include it. Aren't these two beautiful women!

Here is Christian enjoying his party!

All of our favorite people were in attendance!

Here are all the cousins! I enlisted their help in opening the presents.

our spiritual grandma & pa!

After the party at Gi Gi's we went to Grandma & Pa's to swim. Somehow I didn't really get any shots of this, but we had a great time.

After swimming we came home, put jammies on and went for a walk. About half way thru we discovered this...

no nap days are always interesting!

This was aroung 7pm

We had them in bed by 8:30!

It was a great day!
here is a picture of my big boy who just turned 1! He is a handful these days. changing his diaper and dressing him require an extra measure of grace as he tends to squirm, wiggle and sometimes cry as you try to go thru the motions.

but it is hard to get frustrated (although we do!) with a cute little smile like this one!

he is definitely mobile! not yet walking but getting close. due to frequent messes, we have been eating without clothing lately!

we have also been going on bike rides! this has been a great way to spend time together as a family and kevin and i have been amazed that we actually get to talk while being with the kids! here is a picture of their little cart.

they both behave very well in there which has been surprising. tonight christian actually fell asleep and emily had her arm intertwined with her brothers. it was so cute!

here is their official transporter. yes that's right kevin lugs the 75 pounds trailing behind him. i have offered to help, but kevin says he doesn't want to because he doesn't want to ride a girl bike!

i highly recommend one of these to any family that likes the outdoors and being together! they're great!

Easter at First Baptist

sunday after we spent the day with don & donna celebrating easter we went home and took naps! then we went to visit our old church!

here is daddy commanding the ship

christian directing traffic

and emily, the star of the show!

these two have a special relationship. they both have to put up with mommy!

here is a great shot of pa with the heir to The McMillan Throne!

and finally...after all the fussing and fighting, we got a great family picture! never give up!

another great shot!

after Church, Emily decided she wanted to take a shot at preaching

christian decided to join her.

here is our little angel singing.

and laughing and being silly in general!

here is a video with her debut sermon and song!
